Our group advocates peace and we work with fellow Jewish organizations on the issue of Palestine.

Want to pursue career in politics which is where my true passion lies.

Chance me for:
Yale
Harvard
Stanford
Duke
UPenn

Why retake the SAT and take extra Subject tests when you already have a 34 ACT? I’m the first to acknowledge that test scores are a very important part of your application, but I don’t think an excess of standardized testing is particularly helpful.

equal chances to HYS and Penn, slightly better chance at Duke. pretty average applicant to top-tier schools, fair shot, let’s hope your SAT retake and essays go well. good luck.

The problem with my ACT score is my writing score which was an 8/12.
I think I can play the diversity card since I am Palestinian, but the problem is that I know of probably 4 other Palestinians applying to Yale this year.

While it may be helpful in standing out in the crowd of applicants, as a Palestinian, you are not considered a URM for admissions purposes.

I know I wont be, but it would still play into my hands.
My friend did it and got into Harvard pretty much because he was Palestinian and because of his work for Palestine.

Unless an admissions officer told your friend, “We admitted you pretty much because you are Palestinian and because of your work for Palestine,” I don’t think that you can safely say that that is why he got into the school.

I also don’t really understand what “playing the diversity card” means. Writing an essay about being Palestinian? That’s great, and could create a compelling essay, but that’s not about playing any “card,” that’s about writing well.

I guess you are right about the essay part and writing well.
What I meant was that the only part of his application that really stood out were his ECs which pretty much centered around his work for Palestine.
