<p>Schools: Cal Poly, UCD, UCSD, UCLA, UCB, USC, UT Austin (OOS)</p>
<p>Intended major: Electrical engineering</p>
<p>UW GPA: 3.6 (bad sophomore year but nothing lower than B-, much better junior year)
Weighted GPA: 4.17
ACT: 35
PSAT: 229 (not sure what this helps for, I know it doesn't help for UCs...)
SAT IIs: Math 2 - 800, Bio - 740, USH - 760
AP Scores: APUSH (4), AP English Lang (5), AP Calc BC (5), WHAP (5), AP Physics C: Mech (4)</p>
<p>Senior courseload: AP Psych, AP Bio, AP Lit, AP Physics E&M, AP Stat - come from a pretty rigorous private high school</p>
<p>Job experience: Paid internship with NetApp (large Silicon Valley company)</p>
<p>Extracurriculars: School newspaper (4 years), track and field (4 years), eBay Young Entrepreneur Program (1 year - CFO of our "company", were 2nd in sales among other teams in the region), Stanford ALS Youth Leadership Conference, San Jose Mercury News LIP Teen Board (hoping to write a column or two on science or some other topic that will be published in San Jose Mercury News/Contra Costa Times)</p>
<p>Volunteering: Environmental stuff at Olema, CA (25 hours), Computer lab monitor at InnVision (25 hours), service trip to China (75 hours)</p>
<p>Yeah I know my GPA sucks major a$$ for my intended major :P. Basically I'm trying to convey my passion for science, engineering, and writing in my essays, and I feel I'm a strong creative writer. But based on what I have so far, I would love to hear any honest chances for my schools!</p>
