Chance me for a bunch of schools!!!

This is an updated version of a previous post of mine.

Schools: Cal Poly, UCD, UCSD, UCLA, UCB, USC, UT Austin (OOS)

Intended major: Electrical engineering

UW GPA: 3.6 (bad sophomore year but nothing lower than B-, much better junior year)
Weighted GPA: 4.17
ACT: 35
PSAT: 229 (not sure what this helps for, I know it doesn't help for UCs...)
SAT IIs: Math 2 - 800, Bio - 740, USH - 760
AP Scores: APUSH (4), AP English Lang (5), AP Calc BC (5), WHAP (5), AP Physics C: Mech (4)

Senior courseload: AP Psych, AP Bio, AP Lit, AP Physics E&M, AP Stat - come from a pretty rigorous private high school

Job experience: Paid internship with NetApp (large Silicon Valley company)

Extracurriculars: School newspaper (4 years), track and field (4 years), eBay Young Entrepreneur Program (1 year - CFO of our "company", were 2nd in sales among other teams in the region), Stanford ALS Youth Leadership Conference, San Jose Mercury News LIP Teen Board (hoping to write a column or two on science or some other topic that will be published in San Jose Mercury News/Contra Costa Times)

Volunteering: Environmental stuff at Olema, CA (25 hours), Computer lab monitor at InnVision (25 hours), service trip to China (75 hours)

Yeah I know my GPA sucks major a$$ for my intended major :P. Basically I'm trying to convey my passion for science, engineering, and writing in my essays, and I feel I'm a strong creative writer. But based on what I have so far, I would love to hear any honest chances for my schools!

Bumppp…

Any chances would be great, I’ll chance someone back too!

Your SATs are horrible then again it’s impossible to get that score

…Huh? lol

How is your PSAT 229

I’m not sure what you’re asking, but if you mean how I “got” my 229, then I have no idea myself haha :)

Sat is out of 2400

PSAT is out of 240.

Wow, 7 posts and no chances yet. I’ll try and help you with that. I think your ACT score will help offset your gpa (which is by no means bad).

Cal Poly: Match
UCD: Low Match
UCSD: Match
UCLA: High Match
UCB: High Match/Low Reach (Just because of competitive GPA)
USC: Match
UT Austin: Match

Other than your GPA, every other part of your stats is very competitive, and I think you have a good shot at being accepted into all of these schools actually. Good luck!

If you have the time, you can chance me here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1548785-do-i-need-more-safety-schools-my-list.html

Your extracurriculars and ACT score make up for the sophomore part of your gpa. You have a really good chance for ucd, ucsd, and ucla! Just make sure to finish off strong your senior year and you’ll be ok!

Thanks so much for the feedback! As I said, I’m trying to be really passionate/personal on my essays. Keep the chances coming, and let me know if you want me to chance back!

You have incredibly balanced cv. and all of them are match for u .(UC- Low Match, UCB- low reach) IAMIKE is right!
If u have time enough to chance me back or suggest me something…

Thanks everyone for the chances, and I hope my chance backs were useful! Is it safe to say I’m a competitive engineering candidate for at least the bottom half of my schools?

Anyone else (preferably people with west coast knowledge haha) have chances for me? I will continue to chance back.
