Chance me for a few schools

Hello everyone, first post at cc after reading some helpful info here from google.

Here is my general profile/application:

GPA: 3.34 (about an A- average so far this yr)
AP Economics, taking 300 Calculus this yr
SAT: 1950 combined : M - 680 R - 620 W - 650

ECs: Volunteer @ Salvation Army for 2 years
Paid work exp 2 years
Varsity Wrestling 2 years
Club baseball 2 years
1-week shadowing senior members of a financial advisory team @ Morgan Stanley
Volunteer @ local soup kitchen on and off all of high school

Applying to 8 schools as an engineering major:
1. University of Illinois - Urbana Champaign
2. UMD College Park
3. Purdue
4. VTech
5. UMass Amherst
6. Penn State U Park
7. Clemson U
8. Drexel U

Thanks guys/girls I hope i can contribute some knowledge here as well

bump. anyone?

Thanks for the input man

As for payment, we’re going to worry about that after I get in and have to choose between them. Most are public so that will help out but still it is expensive. Definitely something to think about. Thanks again

anyone else?

update: just heard back from drexel. Got in w/ 11k a year

Hearing from UMass and UIUC soon

Gpa too low for Penn State, Clemson and VTech. (All possible, but unlikely, Clemson more so) Okay chance for UCIC (low gpa). Solid chances for Purdue and UMass Amherst. I don’t really know anything about UDM. Both Purdue and UIUC are fantastic engineering schools though!

Because PSU is so big, it stinks that it’s all about your stats and EC’s really don’t matter. If it is your top choice you could always start out at a satellite campus and transfer to University Park. Congrats on Drexel and good luck with the others! :)
