awesome. i’m feeling a lot more positive about this. What’s the biggest reach out of all of these? I’ve applied to as many Early Actions that offer them as well by the way.

I possess a keener knowledge regarding UNC Chapel Hill and Wake Forest than the other schools that you are applying to. I believe that you will probably get into UNC Chapel Hill. As for Wake, I believe that it’s a little of a reach, but not too much. I would suggest for you to check out https://bigfuture.collegeboard.org/ to see how you’d fit into the schools on your list.

Really? That’s good to hear. Thank you for the advice. BTW I’ve applied Early Action to every school on this list already that has it. So the ones that I haven’t done yet are UTex, Wake, Penn State, and UPitt

Yeah, I agree that you’re in at most of these places. Northwestern might be a little bit of a reach due to your ACT, but honestly I think you’ll get into a lot of schools on this list. Good luck!

wow thanks everybody. really feeling good about these schools, can’t wait for decisions haha. I did retake the ACT and am going to update it with my colleges if it goes up. Get my score back Tuesday hoping for a 30+ cause I want UNC Chapel Hill bad.

I wouldn’t say that you are getting faulty information in this thread, but UNC is one of the hardest public colleges to get into from out of state.

Your EC’s are outstanding. Your test score is pretty good, but it’s not outstanding. The high school strength should probably help too. I’ll assume that your grades are pretty good.

I guess it all depends on what the admissions officers consider specifically. You are a very strong applicant, but even still, UNC is probably a low reach. People on this thread make it sound like its a low match, which is disingenuous and confusing.

You’re fine at all the other schools, and you have a resonable shot at UNC

UNC Chapel Hill- Match, low reach
