Chance me for an Ivy?!

<p>I love Upenn and I was wondering if I had a chance, or am I just wasting my time?</p>

<p>Im a caucasian female living in New York</p>

<p>HIGH SCHOOL
Public High School that typically sends about 30 kids to the top 20 universities</p>

<p>4.0 out of 4.0 gpa</p>

<p>SAT: 2160 (cr: 770 m: 690 w: 700)
SAT II: world history: 700 englich lit: 700 spanish: 770 U.S history 730
APs: Spanish: 4 U.S history: 5</p>

<p>47 of 490 in my graduating class</p>

<p>my courses junior year year were AP Spanish, AP US History, french 1, philosophy, precalc, and advanced choral studies. this year's are AP Psychology, AP European History, Syracuse University Project Advance (college credit), conversational spanish, honors physics, independent study senior project (Senior Project Overview), advanced choral studies, health (half year. required), economics (half year. required), government (half year. required). I only have lunch half the year.</p>

i have over 500 hours of volunteer work in our local hospital and am the president of our school's community service organization. Through this organization , I've raised over $5,000 for charities and i've organized a district-wide drive for necessities for soldiers overseas. </p>

<p>I'm a member of the junior ambulance corps.</p>

<p>I was a member of student senate and student council freshman and sophomore years and im senior class social chairperson this year</p>

<p>I'm also a member of debate club, library club, youth in government, drama club and glee club, a starter on our Orange County Academic League team for the past year and this year (1 of 5 of over 40 members in all grades). For this I've competed on the TV show the Challenge for the past 2 years, on three episodes.</p>

<p>I am a 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.</p>

<p>I founded the peer education initiative in my school, of which I am president.</p>

<p>I have been a member of NHS for 2 years and I am also a member of NSHSS.</p>

<p>I have been on high honor roll for all four years of high school. </p>

<p>I also participated in the People to People Program the summer of my freshman year. </p>

<p>I think you have pretty good chances.
SAT is good but not amazing, a 2200+ would help you out a lot.
Regardless, great GPA and solid ECs.
I would say you have a shot for sure.

<p>Rank is bad. EC’s are whatever, everyone has them. GPA is nice. You are another typical ivy applicant. You will most likely get into one of the ivies. Hope it’s Penn.</p>
