Applying for grade 9 2013
All A's in school
Advanced level of math (there are no other advanced levels at my school)
Interviews went well
haven't gotten SSAT scores back
I thought the Jan SSAT was really hard, what did you think?
Essays are great, I've gotten a lot of help from my dad
Hook: International student with English as first language (adds diversity because not many are applying from my country)
Don't have anyone in my family, but friends with BIG connections in the admissions offices
EC: many drama performances (lead), peer counselor, piano (only as hobby, I'm not good), cross country team
Loads of community service in interesting foreign countries

DS had a similar int’l student profile as yours, plus he had absolutely top SSAT scores and EC’s, and the whole citizen-of-the-world experience living in many different countries. He still did not get admitted to every school he applied to.

If it’s urgent for you to maticulate in a BS in the U.S. this fall, then I strongly urge you to apply to more than just those 2 schools. Good luck.
