i’m currently an 8th grader. i’m applying for the 2023-2024 school year as a freshman.
i’m an african-american female. my cousin went to andover.
i go to a private catholic school and i will be applying for financial aid.

all a’s during seventh grade. first quarter of eighth grade 2 high b’s.
my school only offers higher math classes, which i’ve been in since 4th grade.

i play soccer(4 years), intramural flag football(i’m captain for this team) and intramural basketball(hasn’t started this year).

community service - i volunteer at school and my church.
i took coding classes during the summer

i’m not really worried about my recs because i’ve known the majority of the teachers for many years. the teachers i’m asking recs from are also close to my mom.
i’ve been taking spanish since 2nd grade
i’m very social / teachers say i talk a lot during class
i also want to play lacrosse in high school
i already did my hotchkiss interview and i think it went really well. we laughed and talk for the majority of the time.

please tell me if there is anything to improve my chances especially to andover, exeter, or loomis. sorry if there are any typos

You sound like a great candidate who would be an asset to a school! Your Hotchkiss conversation going so well tells me that you probably interview well, which I think helps a lot. It’s helpful to have an admissions person who likes you and is advocating for your acceptance.
You have no higher admit schools on the list you shared. That’s totally fine if you have a great non-boarding school option you feel good about. Otherwise, I would consider adding a few schools above a 20% admit rate to your list.
