Chance me for Barnard! - WILL CHANCE BACK!

Hi Everyone!
As a second semester junior, I have been contemplating which colleges to apply to next year. Barnard College is one that I am extremely passionate about; I will definitely be applying ED for it, but let me know if that is the right choice!

GPA (UW): 3.45; however, when I used RogerHub to calculate, it said 3.71 (most likely because he doesn't include freshman year)
SAT score: 2180
SAT Subject Tests: I will be taking the Biology, Literature, and Chinese ones in the near future.
AP Test: I just took it the AP Biology exam! I haven't gotten the score yet.
Ethnicity: South Asian
Location SF Bay Area, California
Fun Fact: I have lived in about 12 US states, 15 cities. I moved A LOT as a child!

AP/Honors Courses: Chemistry Honors, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Statistics, Chinese 4 Honors

EC's (all for 2+ years):
- Nationally accredited school newsmagazine
- Teen publication (Officer)
- Pre- Med Club (Vice President)
- Medical Explorers Post (Secretary)
- Volunteer at local hospital
- Peer Counselor

Tentative Major: Neuroscience, Minor: Women's Studies or English

I understand that compared to most students here on CC, my GPA (w/freshman year) is on the lower side. I also have not taken too many AP/Honors courses. The reason is that I wasn't always the best student. Especially the first 2 years of high school, I wasn't motivated to do anything. I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life, so I had adopted a "don't care" attitude (which I realize was very detrimental to my mindset). Things have obviously changed since then; I now have a definitive goal in mind, something I want to achieve in life and someone I want to be. This year, I have taken more challenging courses, and tried to really reach my academic potential to see what I can do!

Now that I know I am on the right path, I would really like to attend Barnard, and use their education to learn, and grow as an intellectual woman, who can add to society one way or another! The reason I love Barnard so much is because the college provides a safe, homely feeling, as well as the freedom to explore and apply your knowledge in New York City (where there are so many opportunities)! And the Nine Ways of Knowing is great because you get to explore different fields and really get the most out of your leaning experience!

You guys can let me know about getting into Barnard, as well as other schools (safeties, matches, and reaches) that I should apply to/have a legitimate chance at!

On a last note, thanks to anyone who replies! I really appreciate it!!

Barnard… safe, homey feeling?? Did you visit?
Barnard is 10 blocks from Harlem. Do you like concrete and asphalt. Taxi’s and subway.

Yeah, I’ve visited! What I said was meant for the actual campus. I know that once you step outside the gate, you’ve got Harlem a few blocks down, and taxis/subways very near by. That’s another thing I like about Barnard though; it’s very easy to get to places. Transportation is not an issue in NYC, so that’s always a plus point in college.

And in your mind “Harlem” == “Not Safe”

Might I ask why?
