Chance me for Barnard

I posted this in the chance me thread, but only received one response.I was hopinh I could get a better answer in the thread of the colleges I’m applying to. :)

I’m applying as a Fall transfer student to the following colleges:
Wellesley College (1st choice)
Sarah Lawrence College (5th)
Barnard College (2nd)
Bryn Mawr College (4th)
Smith College (3rd)

I graduated from HS in 2007 and took a gap year. Even though I had one AP course and received honors in my Italian class (I’m a language major), my GPA was, unfortunately, 2.7. Suffice to say, I wasn’t a serious student, hence why I took time off (I actually wasn’t planning to go to college).

I’ve accumulated quite a lot of “extracurricular activities” by working in three film productions (nothing fancy, just puerto rican-made films). I was also part of a Help for Haiti charity event held at another local high school while living in Puerto Rico two years in a row and I worked full-time my first semester of college as well as participated in a charity event.
I don’t know if this will help my application as a language major, though.

I began college last Fall and made the Dean’s List both semesters and was admitted into the honor program. I have a GPA of 3.6, though, which I know isn’t extremely competitive, but hopefully it’ll help.

I took a variety of courses. Intro to Literature, Sociology, and Women and Gender Studies. As well as Intro to American Politics, two French courses (I and II), and two first year mandatory courses. Both of them are focused on writing/research, but they were both different fields. One was on Memoirs (ENG) and the other on the nature and nurture of gender (Science).

Do I have a chance? Let me know if more info is needed.

Thank you
