Hi,
This is my first post here and I'm very nervous. I just sent in my applications yesterday and my top choice is B.C.. If someone could chance me, I'd be very grateful.

SAT's: CR:690 Math:650 Writing 650
SAT II'S: US History:710 Biology:730
AP: US History 5, Biology 4, English Lang 4, TBD Psych, Euro, and English Lit

EC's: VP of '09, NHS, Student Council. President of Symphonic Band. 2nd Trombone in Jazz Band, Lead Baritone in Men's Acapella, Swimming and Diving, Registered youth voters, Won a writing contest 10th grade, Won Acting Awards for Drama, Member of Thespian Troupe #355
Essay: I've been told it's absolutely phenomenal.
Other: My dad went to BC, Class of '68. Also, I have a family friend who is a Professor of Biology there writing me a letter of recommendation in addition to the two glowing teacher recs I have already.

Thank you!

Honestly? I would say very low. I'm thinking less than 10% chances. It's too competitive.

GPA and cr cud hurt you. Otherwise ur golden. High match I say.

I don't know why my post went above the original but anyways...I don't know why everyone on CC thinks that these types of people have a chance at BC! It's so hard to get into now, seriously.

Any other opinions would be appreciated. I thought I had a better than 10% chance, but whatever.

Steven, I honestly think you're overrating BC. You say it's so competitive but the average SAT is a 1340.

You got it Lcronin. I think you're fine I'm no expert but I just applied 2 BC too for RD. I had an SAT score of 1650 combined. That's not even close to what you have but I have faith in myself that I may have a chance. I spoke to an admissions officer there & he told me they accept 7000 students out of those that apply. He said half of them scored in between 1900 and 2100 and half scored below. Its about if BC is a match for u. I personally think u got it! Have faith in yourself, you are more then your test scores u know :) good luck!

On this site, you'd think you'd end up in community college without a 2200+ sometimes. I'd say you're in, just off sheer numbers. EC's etc aside.

Steven is not overrating BC. It's highly competitive with a 27% acceptance rate and #34 rank in the US News America's Best Colleges for Best National Universities. That's big.

any other opinions would be GREATLY appreciated!
