Can I just say I’m intimidated, and I’m in already and going to a prep school?! And as for skipping grades, while it’s not as big a deal as college, I skipped and am a full 2+ years younger than all my classmates. Maybe there’s a program which earns you college credit or something! You are extremely qualified for any program. You are the only applicant I’ve ever been “blown away” by. Best of luck :).

I’m taking the SSATs for a second time this weekend, I have taken 5 practice tests and have had a tutor but I’m still not getting the scores that I want. My two interviews at Deerfiels went very well and I have two teachers there putting in a good word for me. If I don’t do well AT ALL the final time, is all hope lost?! I greatly appreciate your help. Thanks, Dancer959.

@dancer959, why are you posting this on someone else’s thread? If you need help, make your own thread!

Holy! (tears in my eye) I’ll never get in to these schools. (sniff, sniff) What did I do wrong? (wiping my eye) Was it my SSAT score? (sob) Not enough extracurricular? (sniff, sniff) Or is it THAT I’M NOT A FREAKING GENIUS LIKE THIS GUY!! (smiling) mmpqu2, you’re making us all look bad, man!

i want to like that comment really badly…haha

aznboi717- its alright man. I have been to Greenhill Fall Invite and Big Bronx. also a reason I may have not been to ohio valley is because when my team was traveling there, I happened to be hospitalized with a serious case of pneumonia

laughalittle- wow thanks again man! its inspiring to hear your 2+ years younger than everybody else. that might give me reason to try for a junior college.

dancer959- I have seen this post on many threads. sorry about your dilemma but just stop spamming other peoples threads

Indestructive- cheers mate! much appreciated!

You really should try…right now, with your stats, you could go very far.

laughalittle- after March 10 if nothing goes as planned, i will seriously consider it

what’s your top choice?

magusalex- i’d have to say exeter

no!!!Choose andover!!!

magusalex- haha do you go there?

Hi I am a 8th grader applying to top prep schools. I have straight As, very good applications and a very good hockey player.(AAA) What do schools find more appealing straight As or high SSAT scores?

hatrick- personally, it has to be a good mix of both i think

bump. anyone wanna chance?

no, but i went to the camp and loved it (best camp ever, i’m not even kidding serious face) and it’s my top choice, and since you seemed nice I think you should make the RIGHT decision. haha, no you can do whatever you like, but reconsider andover…

magusalex- nice mate. right now andover is my second choice but i may reconsider

Random, off-topic question: Do you speak with an accent? That would be exciting. Mate?! The best term ever! Excuse me, but I’m an overly enthusiastic girl most of the time :)

haha, that’s what i was thinking too. pretty awesome if you spoke like that. I’m going to try that now on college confidential. So, do you have an accent mate?

laughalittle and magusalex- haha yea, mates. I do, considering I grew up in NZ for 5 years
