chance me for brown/penn/columbia?

Hi there, I've been lurking around for a while, decided to give my stats a go.

Schools of interest:

Brown (double legacy)
UPenn
Columbia
Dartmouth
Cornell
Amherst
Williams
UMichigan (in state)
Boston University (safety?)

GPA: 3.5 UW, 3.75 W
SAT: 1250/1950 (700 CR, 600 M, 650 W)
Class Rank: School doesn't rank
AP Classes: AP US, AP Spanish, AP World, AP English Lit, AP Euro (senior year), AP English Language (senior year), AP Government (senior year)

Extracurriculars:
2 years JV volleyball (9, 10)
Orchestra (7, 8, 9, 10, 11)
^Violin since 4th grade
Outside studio art classes since 7th grade
member of school's Heritage Club
Work experience: have worked at Coldstone's for a year as of now, will continue to work at Coldstones through graduation (hopefully)

Undecided major, probably history or government

Recs: will be really good, i know both the teachers well
School: Extremely competitive private school in MI
Gender: Female
Race: African American
Income: 200k+/yr

With your URM status you will probably get in everywhere. I’d retake the SAT to raise your math or try the SAT. Even if you don’t improve you will probably still be accepted.

Not so sure about that. Would definitely retake SAT and try for ACT though. With 2100+ and 31+ ACT you’d have solid chances, especially because of the URM status. GL!

and URM=underrepresented minority i.e. African American, Hispanic, Native American, etc.

Brown: Reach, even with URM/Legacy status
UPenn: Low Reach
Columbia: Reach
Dartmouth: Low Reach
Cornell: Low Reach
Amherst: Low Reach
Williams: Low Reach
UMichigan: Match
Boston University: Match

Look at some safety schools too!

I would retake the SAT, and look at some safety schools
And because of your URM status, you’ll have better chances. Good luck!

Someone please rate my chances? Thanks

I actually think you are going to get into Brown. Your double legacy and URM status is basically a gift at birth! What more would someone possibly want???

Chance me!http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/695607-wrong-me-fall-love-these-schools-chance-me-tell.html</a></p>

I think Brown, Boston and Michigan would be your best bets.

Please chance me back: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/695637-please-chance-scared-junior.html</a></p>

we have almost exactly the same stats.
i am an african american female.
legacy at brown.
same sat scores.
same # of APs.

basically the only difference is that i have a higher gpa at a less competitive school.

sisters?
hahahaha

I would really retake the SAT. If you could boost it 100 points even it would do wonders for your chances.

I agree on retaking the SAT. You’re close and I think with a 1400/1600 you would be in at Brown. For the real legacy boost you need to apply ED.

I’m confused. You put your SAT out of 1600 as 1250, but your CR score as 700 and your Math score as 600, woudn’t that a 1300?
