SATS: 660 math 680 writ 690 read
lit 690 us his 690
top 10%
GPA (UNW) 3.9

I am female, white—but come from a diverse household (with parents of different religions in a small town). This upbringing has caused me to be deeply aware and fascinated by the human condition and cultures.

Major interests: English Lit, I.R., Philosophy, Anthropology

I hope to become a writer/journalist or work with the U.N (hopefully I will join the Peace Corps after college graduation).
Traveling, writing, art–are huge passions of mine. I also have written two novels (not they are published or anything impressive)

I know it is a stretch… especially the SATS. Any thoughts?!

The SAT isn’t everything and they’re not low enough to disqualify you from being admitted, but you’ll have to make up for it elsewhere.I think the diverse household thing is really cool, so if you write about that, then it might make you stand out.

Your unweighted GPA is also very nice and the fact that you’ve taken all of your AP’s is very solid as well. Being valedictorian with that small of a class size could boost you or even in the top 5-10. Your EC’s are pretty awesome as well and it shows that you’re very leader-like.

Honestly, you’re solid in enough areas where it’s just going to be in fate and luck’s hands. Break a leg in April! :)

any thoughts, s’il vous plait?
also interning at a local paper, if that means anything.
