Chances?

My gpa is unweighted. My act was a 25 composite. I'm taking the SAT this weekend.

Do you have any test scores yet? Is your GPA UW or weighted?

My ACT was a 25 composite (first time I took it). I had a 25 in English, a 29 in Reading, a 26 in Science, a 24 in English/Writing and a 20 in math. I am retaking it so as to bring the math up. My GPA is unweighted.

I forgot to mention all my extracurriculars. I’ve been in 6 drama productions in school and I’m in a choir outside of school, as well as an orchestra.

Engineering is highly competitive at CP. With your current test scores I would say it is a high reach. Try to get your scores to at least a 32 and also try the SAT if you can. Look at Cal Poly posts from this year to see the stats of engr. applicants who were accepted and denied- it’s pretty scary! CP is at least as competitive as many UC’s.
