<p>What are my chances of getting in the Cockerell school of engineering in the Mechanical Engineering major?</p>

<p>The one thing that will hurt you is the low SAT (on the 1600 scale; Cockrell operates on the 1600 scale) even though non-Cockrell UTA is a safety.</p>

<p>But is it harder to get into Cockrell directly or to transfer into Cockrell from regular UTA?</p>
