You’d have a better chance of getting into our local community college

i dont disagree

Do you have any grade below A-? I can’t tell from your averaged GPA in percentage. UMich will recalculate your uwGPA from letter grades without subgrades. Assuming your uwGPA to be ~3.9, UMich would be a low reach for you from OOS. Your chance should be higher than the ~20% admission rate from OOS.

I’ve got one B+ . But thanks.

That would make your uwGPA around 3.95 or higher. UMich is still a low reach for you. Are you looking at the engineering school?

Your stats look good. I’m not too familiar with most of your awards but they seem significant. Your ECs are a little average for applicants who apply to Columbia and Stanford. All you can do is make sure your essays are insightful and memorable and build a theme in your application that makes you stand out.

you see, applying is a bit tricky because I don’t know the right way to play my cards. I have interests in both design and engineering. I was planning to apply to engineering (for industrial engineering) and minor in industrial design at stamps, but I’m not so sure my ECs and whatnot align with what I’m doing; early on in high school I went the path of debate rather than research (and I kinda regret it to be honest).
Short answer is yes tho. I’m applying to engineering.
