32 ACT (34 English, 35 Math, 32 Reading, 27 Science)
4.2 GPA,
700 math level 2
690 biology
I didnt study once for either of them

I have great EC's:

Eagle Scout, Eagle Palm distinction
Mayor's Youth Council
two jazz/blues/classic rock bands
varsity soccer/tennis
most clubs
every honor society
school ambassador
Former senior patrol leader in scouts
junior assistant scoutmaster now, the highest position available to "non-adults"
religious volunteer

I live in a small Alabama that city lacks as many major opportunities that most large cities have, so we have no science fairs, robotics teams, debate teams, etc. unfortunately. What are my chances at Cornell University considering my stats plus my circumstances?

Good EC’s…maybe take SAT II’s again? although they’re not too bad. Good GPA, did you apply early? That would probably help but I think you’ve got a good shot either way !

The SAT II’s are really hurting you. You can obv do well on standardized testing (your act score) so… yeahh.
The recommended score is 750+ so you might want to retake it. Everything else looks good though. How about volunteering?

Also, you say that you’re lacking major opportunities. How about trying to form a robotics or debate team at school? That always looks a lot better than just joining

I volunteer with the Boy Scouts (as you can imagine) a lot. I always park cars on gameday, I raised over $5000 and built a playground for my religious community; I help at Eagle projects, am a Key Club leader and active volunteer, as well as a school Ambassadors volunteer.

I plan on taking SAT II’s again.

I like your suggestion of forming a club, and will take it, but it will be harder considering there is little interest in that kind of stuff. There may be a total of 5 people. EVERYBODY just wants to go to the University of Alabama, and I’m like “WHY?” 'Bama pretty much could care less about accepting you based on clubs, they pay you full tuition if you make a 30+ ACT for instate students. So that is a hindering limitation that I hope to work around.

SAT II’s and club-starting are my priority. Oh, and essays.

hey i think you have a good chance…it would definately be a bit of a reach though…but if essays are good then seems like it may work out for the best…
