GPA is on the low side, but it’s possible. One top 5 hospitality management school you might want to consider is UNLV. The job internships in Las Vegas are second to none.
do you think my extracurriculars compensate for my lower gpa? I am very involved within my own high school and pursued a lot of leadership and service related activites
ECs don’t compensate for grades for scores.
I think what is a red flag for me isn’t grades/scores (they are in the ball park), but lack of industry experience. That’s a big thing for the Hotel School.
These days you are fine without having any direct hospitality experience. Have you led a team of people to host an event or something - that’s hospitality. Being the president of many “service” or “conference hosting clubs” was mine and I got in. You are qualified to get in but who knows.
