Schools I'm applying to:
Cornell
Johns Hopkins
Georgetown
UC Berkeley
UC Davis
UCLA
UC San Diego
UPenn
USC
Stanford

What do you guys think?

Cornell: low reach
Johns Hopkins: low reach
Georgetown: low reach
UC Berkeley: match
UC Davis: safety
UCLA: match
UC San Diego: safety
UPenn: low reach
USC: match
Stanford: low reach

The Academic Team EC is pretty impressive (I can guess which school you go to and know how good your team always is and how much work that takes). I would say the top schools in general are a bit of a reach, as they are for everyone, but the state schools are all matches or safeties.

Chance a fellow hopeful for several of those schools back?

You are competitive for all of these schools, but my advice having had two kids go through the process this past year is pick the school you love and apply ED.

Daughter applied ED to Duke and got in. Her twin brother, with 110 points higher on SAT (1540/2290 v 1430/2170) and higher on SAT subject tests (about 40 points each) and with similar grades,. ECs etc applied RD and got wait-listed and then rejected.

The one exception is Georgetown. Would recommend applying RD there as it is harder to get admitted there EA than RD. Son also did not make it there (luckily did get admitted at WUSTL, Davidson, UVA, and WM). Also, GU says EAs get a fresh look RD and I am sure that is true, but nevertheless I would be surprised if there is not a little stigma and GU only admits RD about 10% of the left over EAs.

In any event, good luck. You have achieved a lot and will go somewhere great I am sure.

UC schools are probably all safety/match.
Cornell, Stanford, Penn – reaches probably.
Georgetown is also probably a math, esp. if you want to do their foreign services school or something like that.
Chance me back, I have no clue what my chances are… http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1525054-chances-princeton.html

Also, what team were you on for HSNCT, I was one of the 8th ranked teams, and I’m wondering if we hit you.
