Ok, there is alot more, but this is my general stats.

PLEASE assess my chances..and I'm in a dilemma which school to apply to: Hotel or Arts.

I have 90% interest in investment banking...I was actually hoping that the ivy name can bring me in the door.......I understand that Hotel's work experience requirements is strict, and I do have some experience (as shown above) but it is not hotel experience...so would the fact that I was so focused in Finance (given how i selected my internship and professional certification) that they would think I'm not suitable for hotel?

My career ambitions seem to match more with the arts program (I can write a better honest essay), but I dont like all the language courses in arts and I'm VERY BAD at writing. On the other hand, I had a feeling my work experience might help a bit for hotel, and the acceptance ratio looks higher, BUT I don't know how to write an essay for hotel because I never had interest in the field in the past...

Which program do I have more chance for? Arts (major econ) or Hotel?

I'd go for arts, from everything I've heard the hotel school wants to see some clear dedication to the industry. They have an amazing yield, about 80%, which indicates they are choosing industry committed students.

If ibanking is your goal, there are better choices than Cornell. I'd look at Duke which is in the same stats range to get into but has better WS placement.

Think about taking the SATs, most schools with WS access require them.

Bump...Any more comments?

Here are some statistics published a little over a year ago. Perhaps they may influence your decision

Arts and Sciences
Regular Admit Rate: 17.96%
Transfer Admit Rate: 13.78%

School of Hotel Administration
Regular Admit Rate: 20.66%
Transfer Admit Rate: 52.27%

bump..more comments please

Why don't you apply to the applied economics and management major in CALS? That seems like it would be a great fit for you.

I don't have the science background...

bump plz give more feedback

I think you have a really good shot at getting into Cornell, though taking SATs may be helpful if you can. I got in as an undergraduate with much less impressive credentials.

Sandwich artist? Your terminology or theirs?

can you ask them to consider you for both (arts 1st choice, hotel 2nd)?

nope i cant

"Sandwich artist? Your terminology or theirs? "
theirs
