Ok, there is alot more, but this is my general stats.

PLEASE assess my chances..and I'm in a dilemma which school to apply to: Hotel or Arts.

I have 90% interest in investment banking...I was actually hoping that the ivy name can bring me in the door.......I understand that Hotel's work experience requirements is strict, and I do have some experience (as shown above) but it is not hotel experience...so would the fact that I was so focused in Finance (given how i selected my internship and professional certification) that they would think I'm not suitable for hotel?

My career ambitions seem to match more with the arts program (I can write a better honest essay), but I dont like all the language courses in arts and I'm VERY BAD at writing. On the other hand, I had a feeling my work experience might help a bit for hotel, and the acceptance ratio looks higher, BUT I don't know how to write an essay for hotel because I never had interest in the field in the past...

Which program do I have more chance for? Arts or Hotel?

Why not AEM?

I have very poor science background (in HS) and I don't have any SAT subject scores

my only choices left is really Hotel and Arts

In terms of IRS, the curriculum doesn't seem to fit wih my interest..

What would your major be in CAS?

economics...I have all the prereqs for that major already...

I would say you fit more with econ than hotel.

can you explain please? Given that the ratio of acceptance in arts is less than 10% and hotel is almost 50%, I would still be a better perspective arts student?

and what do you think my chances are based on my credentials?

I just want to apply to the school I have the MOST chance with...It is such a hard decision to chooose which to apply to :(

You have the best fit for economics out of that and the hotel program, in my opinion. I do not see you as hotel material. Acceptance rates don't mean percentage chance of getting in, so don't look at them like that.

I know one fact for sure, for one to get admission to the hotel school, one needs to be extremely passionate about hospitality/management and majority of those who were accepted do have some sort of work/experience related to it. I'd say you are not that suited towards Hotel.

You could try AEM at CALS, but again that is one of the most competitive course at Cornell to get into since the spots/applicant ratio is very very low

anymore comments???

dont forget that hotel requires you to send a photograph as well...

so if you look good feel free to apply to hotel :P

bump bump plz help

econ man...

hotel has a lot of hospitality courses and required core courses...i would only choose hotel if you are one beautiful man...
