Chance me for Cornell, UVA, Boston College, etc / Class of 2012

Are you trolling when you say you are reaching for your schools? Seriously, 4.0 while taking a very difficult courseload, getting a 2210 SAT, pretty good ECs and what looks like good recs and you say you’re reaching? It’s not like your applying to Harvard or Stanford, not everyone who gets into Cornell has a 4.0 and 2400.

Anyways, I think it’s clear I don’t think you’re reaching for any of your colleges. I’ll chance you as OOS for all of your choices because I don’t know what state you’re from. The only problems I see in your app is a bad math score in the SAT, relatively weak SAT II scores, nothing special in your ECs and Asian female (affirmative action sucks doesn’t it?). However, I don’t think any of those will be issues that you can’t overcome with your very strong GPA/class rank, overall SAT score, difficulty of courseload, recs and possibly essays. Cornell, Brown, Georgetown and UNC (OOS) are about as difficult to get in as each other and I think you are a match. That’s not to say you will get in but you fit their profile fairly well and will definitely be competitive. I would be extremely surprised if you don’t get into at least one of them. UVA (OOS) is also a match for you, it’s slightly easier to get into than your most selective options and you should be able to get accepted there. I would be surprised if you don’t get into William and Mary and BC. GMU and VT are both safeties for you so you shouldn’t really worry there much at all.
