Chance Me For Cornell

Hello, I am a freshman in a very competitive, challenging high school. I have about a 92 average. I know its not great but my school is very academically challenging and I have just come from being a home school student, so it was a big transition during my first and second quarters. I think im about 5th in my class of 65. I know its a bit early to tell, but i would like to know if i am on track. In sophomore year, I plan to take as many honors courses as available (3) and 1 ap world history course. As for my ECs i currently play lacrosse, and plan to join art club and engineering club next year. Thanks for the help!

PS. I also plan to have an architecture internship this summer

Too early to chance you, try again when you’re a junior or senior

Seems like you are on the right track early in the game. Consider taking the SAT / ACT in the Spring of Soph. or fall of Junior year to give your self time to raise score if need be. Without those scores no one can give you an idea of chances.

I was just wondering if im on track so far.

You should be in at least the top 10% of your class so yes, you are on the right track. Keep your grades up and don’t let your class rank slip, try an maintain or improve it. Find and pursue ECs you are passionate about.
