I think you have very strong chances- wow! Of course dartmouth is difficult for anyone and can be anyone’s guess - but you seem very well qualified, especially ED. Go for it and good luck :)

Quite the list…wow. Wish I had like some of those accomplishments and numbers…Low reach, I’d like to say. I wish you the best of luck in your application! A friend of mine is also banking on Siemens to turn out well for him; hope that comes along too.

Damn, your standardized test scores are awesome! That definitely puts your foot way into the door! However, I am curious as to why you only took 3 AP’s up until your senior year. Is it because your school doesn’t offer that many to choose from? Good EC’s and everything else seems top-notch. Your AP # and courseload is about the only thing that isn’t amazing. You’ll definitely get in through ED.

I took ap world too but got a 3:( so I definitely won’t be sending that but other than that I have taken only honors/AP classes in high school and usually juniors at my school only take 2 aps junior year so I even took an extra. My course load senior year can’t get harder and the Physics course I’m taking is so difficult that most schools don’t even offer the version (it’s ap Physics C not B so it has calculus too). Also, I am from long island which is very populated so I’m worried that it might not be easy for me to get in. I would love to go there and would absolutely do anything to get in! thanks so much to everyone who chanced me and I wish everyone luck this year!

bump 10 char

Dartmouth ED: Low reach

wow I have to say I am really surprised by the amount of people who think it is a low reach. It is very very comforting I do have to say! Thanks everyone who responded!

I’d say that you have fairly solid chances of getting into Dartmouth based off of your GPA, Rank, Test Scores, Etc. You also have very solid EC’s. Chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1559607-chances-getting-into-bu.html

bump 10 char

Pretty sure you have a very very decent shot via ED.
Just make sure the peer evaluation is GOOD. It’s the only “supp” so make sure your friend writes it well.

right now mid-high Reach.
low Reach if you are at Siemens regional/semifinalist level and advertise interest in science.

the important stuff in here:
academics
recs
cheerleading for 4 years
altar serving

^^if you highlighted those last 2 you should be in a good place. people overhype research. literally everyone i know here has done something of that level.

now, factor in the acceptance rate if you’re neither an urm or legacy or athlete and you’re looking at ~10, so i’d say low reach at best. and no one is a match unless they’re one of those 3 categories so you’re in very good company. impressive, good luck, hope to see you here!

you have a decent shot at Dartmouth!

I will be indebted if someone rates my chances for Dartmouth based on this information. I am an ED candidate, who has already submitted his application.

very well qualified! I think you have a solid chance of getting in! Chance me please!
