So I'm finally pretty sure of my college list, can you let me know what you think and if this seems like a balanced list? Thanks!

my stats:

-APs: 5 US History, 5 US Government
-ECs: president of GSA, urgent actions coordinator for Amnesty International, involvement in various other activities

-Senior Schedule: AP English Lit, AP Euro, AP Calc AB, Honors International Relations, Accelerated French V, Peer Mentoring (basically being a teaching assistant)

my colleges:
Swarthmore
Georgetown
Pomona
Claremont McKenna
George Washington
NYU
American
Bard
UMaryland College Park
UMass Amherst

Thanks for letting me know what you think! And add a link if you want me to chance back :)

Swarthmore, and namely Pomona, are crapshoots for everyone and anyone. Georgetown is a low reach as it’s a top school. I wouldn’t hesitate to say that you’re in at every other school. Georgetown’ll most likely reward you with an acceptance letter, and if you write fantastic, interesting, and unique essays then I’d say your chances are decent at Swarthmore and Pomona.

Swarthmore, Pomona, and Georgetown are the only ones that you MIGHT have difficulty with. I would say with an interesting essay, like poster said before me, you’ll be just fine. Great scores, a little shy on the ECs!

Thanks!

Great, thanks guys! And yeah my ECs are a little weak, but it’s been hard for me to be super involved in after school ECs since I commute half an hour each way to and from school- do you think that’ll make any difference if I mention it, or will it just sound like I’m trying to make excuses?

Probably the latter… But your application is outstanding, you’ll be fine!(:

ok thanks- and hopefully they’ll notice that i live in a town that’s different than my school and see that it got in my way just a bit…
