Chance Me for Deerfield, Choate?

Hello guys! I'm an 8th grader seeking admissions into Deerfield and Choate this year, and I am dying to know my chances for these two wonderful schools, if that's what will allow me to sleep at night.

So far, I've taken the SSAT and the ISEE, but I am not satisfied with my scores. I scored in the 78th percentile for the SSAT unfortunately, and 6,7,7,6 on the ISEE. ( I am very well aware of how bad my scores are. )

My Report Card ( overall) for the 7th grade is as follows :

Science : 100
Math: 96
Religion: 100
Social Studies: 100
Spanish: 100
English: 98
Physical Education: 100
Computers: 100

Currently, for the 8th grade, my grades are as follows:

Science: 98
Math: 100
Religion: 100
Social Studies: 100
Spanish: 100
English: 100
Physical Education:100
Computers: 100
Advanced 9th grade Science : 93

Extracurriculars and Other Activities ( I must say that my schools does not have clubs, but a band and a choir.) :

Altar Serving at local Church
Piano
Currently Secretary of Junior National Honor Society ( running for VP this year)
Tutoring
Technology Team

Photography Team
I spend time aiding incoming altar servers
Tennis ( during the summer)

I hope I get to attend somewhere with a lot more ECs, as well as sports.

Additions:

I don't know how significant this is, but I am part of A Better Chance ( hopefully a future scholar) :-* .

I live in NYC.

I attend a parochial school, where children are shoved into local Catholic high schools and public schools.

Thanks!

Can someone please chance me? I am really dying to know. :)

Your grades are really good but I highly suggest you raise your standardized test scores since they play a big part. I’d say you need at least to be in the 90 percentile for SSAT.

Thanks! I am going to retake the SSAT soon, wish me luck! :)

Me too! I did really bad last year as well. Good luck! @superwholockfan‌ I think the SSATs are important because it is a standardized test, it probably will be seen as a benchmark. The AO can’t really differentiate an A in my school from what an A is worth at your school.

Hey. Apart from the grades, a big part of your admission depends on showing a character the school needs. A friend of mine got to lawrenceville - which is pretty good - with a 75% SSAT and no sports. Get them to have a good impression of who you are, and it won’t be too hard

Okay, I’ll be sure to keep that in mind. :)
