<p>I'm applying ED to Vanderbilt and wanted to you what you all thought my chances of getting in were. They said that it was a 25% acceptance rate for ED vs 14% RD</p>

lifeguard in summer before senior year
Captain of Cross Country senior year, member of track team and xc team all 4 years lots of county and conference awards</p>

<p>GPA: around 4.04 weighted but that's without first quarter senior grades
around 3:65-3.7 weighted
Junior Classes: AP US, AP LANG, AP PSYCH, PRE CALC HONORS, BIO HONORS LATIN HONORS
Senior Classes: AP BIO, AP EURO, AP ECON, AP LIT, LATIN HONORS, CALC HONORS</p>

<p>SATS: 710 cr 690 math 780 writing 2190 overall, 710 us history subject test
ACTS: 32 composite (superscore 33) highest scores= 36 english 34 reading 32 math 30 science
AP Scores: 4 APUSH 5 APLang 4 APPsych</p>

<p>I don’t understand all you (and by ‘you’ I mean all the super extra overachievers who doubt they’ll get into an Ivy League or something of the sort). If anything can stand a bit of improvement, it’s your test scores, but they’re still pretty good. Your GPA is also a bit lower than the majority of students, but not so much that it’s make a difference.</p>

<p>I’ll say high match, just not to get your hopes up- honestly, with top ranking uni’s like that, a lot of luck is involved.</p>

<p>Yes, I would say that your chances are very good. Your biggest weakness is your ACT and that says a lot because I think they will be satisfied with your ACT. EC’s are good too, I wouldn’t stress about it…Just make sure you write a very strong essay. </p>

<p>I would say this is a high match-match, Vandy’s so selective that you can’t say it’s a low match or safety for anyone. Even you are on the fence, but that’'s because everyone is when applying to schools so selective. But you seem very interested, make sure to express that in your essay if you can.

<p>FYI, Vanderbilt does not super score the ACT, only the SAT. You look solid to me (my son is a current student there). Did you participate in an alumni interview?</p>

<p>thank you everyone! i did do an alumni interview because i interview well and i think it went great!! it can only help me so id say that is a plus! anyone else the days are ticking by less than a month till everyone gets their letters!! :)</p>
