Chance me for ED

Hi, I'm planning on applying ED for Cornell. Assessment of my chance would be very helpful! (I posted this before, but didn't get much feedback)

SAT: V 630, M 790 W 670.
English is not my first language. I will be retaking the test.

SATII - MathIIC 800, Japanese 800, lowest is 740.
Unweighted GPA: 3.98, weighted 4.45.

Not an US citizen. Lived in China and Japan, fluent in Chinese and Japanese. Planning to study more languages. Lived in the U.S. for 4 years.

Not many AP classes; I've only taken 3. Got 5 on all 3 of them. Also, I haven't taken as many honors classes as my school has to offer. (All my friends have taken like 15.) I've only taken 5 in fact. But I'm taking more next year, with 4 AP classes and 1 honor.

3 A+ in Junior year, one in AP chem, one in Hon pre-cal, and one in Lv1 French 1 (just starting French). School is public, but pretty competitive in the area. Each year, about 5 to 10 out of 400 students get into Harvard.

Some community service, but not much leadership. No sports, no music:

2 years of TA at local Chinese school (including award for good service)
hospital aid and office aid at an hospital (2 years; including award for good service)
Volunteer at Children's summer program (30 hrs)
4 years of Culture Club, going to be secretary in September
NHS - booksale, peer tutoring; Math team; Amnesty international
into arts, drawings were shown in BC, local art society, and Japanese newspaper (although all of those drawings were never given back to me and I can't make a portfolio out of them); drawing was used as cover of Student Directory

Awards:
Certificate of Honor on the National French Contest
National Honor Roll; PSAT high scorer; Who's who among high school students; Who's who's scholarship semi-finalist; The national society of high school scholars, Student award in English as a Second Language

Work experience: babysitting, tutoring (not much though)

Harvard summer school this summer.

Not very good at writing... (don't know what will happen with the essays or the recommendations)

Thanks.

You are a decent candidate but you need to get more involved in your extracurriculars. Also, compile an art portfolio.

What % chance do I have of getting in? I'm going to apply for ED, so I hope I can improve my extracurriculum somehow in the 2 months after school starts...

Also, how do I compile an art portfolio? Do I take pictures and then put them on a CD?

Anyone else?

hmm any other opinions?

Yes. I have calculated your precise chance of acceptance at Cornell through a formula I devised by tediously examining statistical data that I collected from this website's logs of those who were accepted and rejected in the past two years, from the US News world report, from the Common Data Set, and from Cornell's website. The formula is too elaborate to be explained with simple numbers. But you don't need to see the math, do you? Your chances, from what I know about you, are broken down into several numbers determined by several conditions I have concocted:
If you do not apply: Clearly, 0%
If you do apply [and do not ask for a percentage]: Approximately 27%, though you did not tell me the college you will apply to, so my formula was simplified ooooh so much.
If you do apply [and are stupid enough to ask someone to give you an exact percentage chance that you will "get in"]: 0%

You artsy people...

PS (this is some real advice):
don't count on that Nat. Honor Roll or Who's who (especially the second one, because it just SOUNDS stupid) helping you, unless you want to portray yourself as a naive fool.

-_- SineWave you didn't have to be so mean. I'm just like most other people on this forum, anxious about the college application process.

The reason I asked for a percentage was because I wanted to know if my chance was below or above 50% (see? That's a percentage. Percentages are just so easy to use.)

And by the way, if you think whatever I did was "artsy" go get a reality check. I just put down what I did, and maybe you think I'm "artsy" because you have no artisticity whatsoever. Who knows. If you have a problem, that probably says something about you (like someone who hasn't laughed all day LOL)

SineWave just got pwn3d.

K who's who thing is a scam and you shouldn't put it down. If you have room do put the other thing Sin said. I do think you have a chance. The lack of honors isn't going to help, but at least you are improving. I recommend writing ur essay on a cultural experience in japan or china that will be fun to read, or ur adjusting to America (you can make GREAT essays out of either). Have a teacher and maybe a couple other people edit ur essays. If you want them to sound artsy read poetry before you write them because they will make the asian cultural essays flow more if you choose to write them (lol...at least in my mind :) ). Best of luck!

Yeah I'm thinking of writing on something about my international experience. It;s hard because I'm not a very good writer and also it's really hard to fit everything into 500 words when I moved for 4 times... But I'll try doing it... :]

So I should still put the National Honor Roll and National Soceity of High School Scholars down?

if national honor roll and high school scholars are things that you have to pay for, its probably a scam or soething. i got both and didn't do them because you have to pay. i think a lot of people get those.

Well I'm not sure...national honor roll is something ur school awards you or something you pay for? If you have to pay for the other thing just to get the title, then don't put it. If you got to go to a class or workshop after you payed then do put it down.

Rec: Have your english teacher or guidance couns. (if they are good) help you edit ur essay.

I paid for national honor roll just to buy a book, but they said that even if I didn't buy anything from them, I would have gotten my name published also...
Not sure if that's true though lol

I think I'll have my English teacher check my essay, and maybe let my friend read it...

"sinewave just got pwn3d"

it appears he has a 19 inch blunt object lodged in his rectum.

K then if u have room i guess put the honor roll thing
