Chance Me for February Round Please

Hey guys so I have a 3.833 UGA GPA with a 1430 SAT (680R,750M) I’m planning on retaking the ACT. I have completed 12 AP classes by graduation. Please let me know the probability of me getting admission this round!! I need something to calm my nerves. THANKS

and I’ve already retook the ACT, so disregard that - projected score around 32-34

Did you get in? Decisions came out yesterday!

@_sfxl I didn’t get anything - how about you? And do my chances look any better for march?

@aye123 I did get accepted yesterday. but yes your chances look really good. Your SAT is extremely high You have a good chance so stay positive. Good luck!

@_sfxl I received a 32 on my ACT - does this make me any more competitive?

@aye123 You are going to get in without a doubt. I am surprised you haven’t got in yet as you meet EA requirements. I wouldn’t even worry if I were you. Do you mind chancing me back?

bump

DISCLAIMER I RECEIVED A 32 ON MY ACT

You are for sure getting in… could you chance me too please?

Thanks @gougadawgs44 but my SAT Math II is 600 and I accidentally auto sent it… will this hurt me despite my high SAT math

Doubtful, UGA emphasizes that test scores are not necessarily of importance in determining academic success at UGA… you will be fine.

@gougadawgs44 @FBDrDunn @_sfxl @potentialuga21 hey so I recalculated my UGA GPA because I just found out they don’t take first semester senior grades into account- its 3.79 UGA GPA. With my
32 (34E 33M, 32R, 28S) ACT / 1430 SAT / 600 math 2 subject test will this hurt me? I am worried.

and btw I am instate!

I do not think being in state matters but your grades will not hurt you because they still take your first semester senior year grades for the review process, although it is not included within the GPA, but they still see your first semester grades

@gougadawgs44 so overall, how am I looking? I have good essays and extracurriculars

You have about the same GPA and higher test scores than my friend who was deferred and then admitted February decisions, and a bit lower GPA but still higher test scores than my friend who applied RD and was admitted in February. Your rigor is impressive too, I took 8 APs and then 16 Honors (I thought it was 12 but it is actually 16) and I was told my rigor is impressive. Overall they said challenging yourself in courses (and maintaining good grades) is better than taking easy classes and getting a 4.0. As long that there is nothing concerning with your application I think you are fine.

You have a 32 ACT. You are in without a doubt. If anyone needs to worry, it’s the people that have the same GPA as you but lower test scores.

Sit back and relax. Decisions have already been made and tomorrow they will be unveiling them. Good Luck

Also, they emphasize ACT subscores and how only the math and reading scores are an accurate prediction of success in college. So if your subscores in those areas are high, you will be fine
