Chance me for Fordham? (Early Action)

I am an out-of-state student from Arizona. I am from a low-income family and will be a first generation college student, so I will be applying for financial aid and scholarships.

I have a 3.56 unweighted gpa, and a 3.7 weighted. My ACT score is a 29. (33 reading, 26 math, 28 science, 28 English, waiting on the writing but received an 11 out of 12 the last time I took this test).

I am a member of NHS, Society of Women Scholars, International Thespian Society, a member of a traveling show choir, am involved in my school’s theatre program and have had a lead role. I have been the treasurer of my choir previously. I played varsity girls’ golf my junior year. In addition, I am the treasurer of my school’s yarn club, which is nominal, though I recently organized and initiated a charity with the Phoenix Children’s Hospital where my club can create and donate items (blankets, hats, etc.) to the kids. As far as work experience, I will begin working part time as a hostess later this month, and will manage marketing for the business, which is small and local.

I have a pretty solid personal essay which I am still revising with a teacher, and great teacher recommendations. I do feel that my GPA is a little bit low, however. But do you think my other attributes would make up for this?

I am planning to apply early action to Fordham

I have heard that Fordham values scores more than GPA, and your 29 is good for them. If your classes have some rigor you should be good applying EA

@wisteria100 Yeah, somehow I forgot to mention it but I have taken APs and Honors AL four years
