<p>Your test scores definitely aren’t holding you back. I think that the only thing really holding you back (assuming you took as many AP’s as you could, you do mention that your school doesn’t offer many) is a lack of leadership shown. You should elaborate more on research and how that has affected you, since I’m seeing an apparent interest in research. Have you considered Johns Hopkins? They’re consistently ranked #1 in research spending, and if that is something you might enjoy, you might fit in well there. </p>
<p>I’m pretty sure you’re in most UC’s, but as an above poster mentioned, a lack of math/science might make MIT a bit of a reach. Chancing for HYPS is basically shooting in the dark, but I think you have a decent shot, and have a high chance of getting into at least one of them (I’m sure at least one of them will value the fact that you’ve done a lot of research AND have phenomenal test scores). I’d probably say Duke and UChicago are both matches.</p>
