I just took this template off another post so I wouldn’t forget anything!
I would like to note that I’ve taken all honors/AP classes for all of high school, which is why my unweighted GPA is so low.

I’m looking at schools like:
-Georgetown
-Boston College
-William and Mary
-Middlebury
-Boston University
-Lehigh
-Villanova
-George Washington

If anyone has any idea about how my application would stack up, or have any advice, I would love to hear it!

SAT is great for those schools listed. Most of them, except for BU and BC don’t even look at writing and a 1510/1600 is really good. GPA is just a little low for BC and Georgetown but you still have a good shot (Maybe a little low for middlebury also). However, having great SAT scores could make up for it. All of the other schools I think you are in at.

Good Luck

Georgetown 25% - 75% range is 1310 - 1500. Middlebury range is 1290 - 1440 so again test scores won’t be an issue there. What does a 93.2 correspond to on a 4.0 scale? If it’s a 3.85 or above you are in pretty good shape, if it’s below 3.80 than less so. All of these schools are within reach but you should include safeties and perhaps financial safeties.

I know unhooked kids with GPA/grades and scores similar to yours (perhaps lower) who have been admitted to every school on your list so I think it is a very reasonable list and will depend on essays, recommendations.

I’m from New Jersey so I know I’m going to apply to Rutgers and TCNJ as safeties. And my school doesn’t have any conversion tools for my GPA, so I really have no idea what it would be on a 4.0 scale.

Hey Lizard!

Congrats on a great start heading into senior year. You’re in luck for schools such as WM because they primarily look at CR+M and you have a very solid scores to back up that resume. When I applied to William and Mary, I think the thing that made the most difference was the essay. They really look for students that not only have an intellectual curiosity but also students with personality. So definitely spend some time on that. If you want to convert your GPA to one out of 4.0, it is simple fractions. Take your unweighted grade/100 and convert it to out of 4. Even though you’re an out of state female, which is the most competitive pool, I believe that you have a good shot.

Let me know if you have any more questions! I’m a rising sophomore this year at William and Mary and I am always down for a chat or whatever.

bumpp

@lizard27 If you convert your GPA to a 4 point scale, then it is 3.73. Your weighted GPA is 3.96 when converted to this scale as well. Hope this helps just a little.
