Chance Me For Georgetown Business School - Regular Decision

2000 SAT 1, 600 CR, 700 M, and 700 W.
Subject Tests: 570 Math II (taken twice), 690 US History, and 560 Literature.
Asian male from a state where the most students who attend Georgetown come from.

I have a lot of extracurricular activities in music and academics, but because of the way they are run, I cannot run for officer positions and we do not do much in these clubs (e.g. In our FBLA Chapter, officers were chosen by teachers only based on who had been here longest and who knew the teachers the most. We only take a test in January, and do no community service and at most 1 fundraiser). - I did not mention this situation in my application, and even if I should, I'm not positive how to since I already applied (haven't sent in the writing supplement, though).

I was on my school's varsity tennis and swim teams.

I am in the top 10% of my class, with a near perfect GPA. I have no notable community service.
I was delegate at Boys' State, which I talked about in an interview that went really well, in my opinion.
My essays will be reviewed and will we solid, but I am confident that my letters of recommendation will be great, if not stellar.

How do you think I will do? US News ranked Georgetown #21 in the USA. I'm skeptical that I have a chance because of my test scores, to be honest, but just about any input will help. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I am curious about this too. I am somewhat in the same boat as you are with SAT scores and have no idea if you ECs will make up for them. Your ECs look really good though. Good luck!

Your scores are definitely low, especially for an Asian male from a well-represented state. Your Math II score is very low, and Georgetown disregards writing scores, so your SAT is actually a 1300/1600. So I would try to increase that CR score by at least 50 points. This is especially true given your average extracurriculars.

Overall, McDonough is probably a Mid Reach.

MSB is the most competitive school at Georgetown with the lowest admit rate. You got to bring your game to get in.

Since GU onlys looks at your M & V of your SAT1, so in your case, 1300/1600, and your SAT 2 scores are all under 700, so score wise , you are well below average the applicant pool. Hope you have excellent essays and strong letters. If GU is your top choice try to visit the school and find out more.
