I have always had a strong passion for math and science but I love pursuing other areas as well. I am a huge fan of fashion as well as an avid participant in obscure sports (I ski and sail). Please chance me for Harvard, Yale, Princeton, MIT, Stanford, and Pepperdine. It has been my life-long dream to immerse myself in a rigorous academic environment such as the ones found in the above schools.

By the way, I have been surrounded by positive influences and wonderful teachers all my life, and I am wondering if this could count against me.

Why you want to going the Pepperdine? AnyHow, I like to say that your application in my viewing is perceived as the strong. You have strong variance in your AP curriculums and your passion for math and science, coupling with your racial background should make you the instant shoo-out for these schoolings.

If you are African-American, I would say you’re in at most of HYPSM. You display excellent academic and testing, as well as strong (but dull) ECs. Some may disagree with me, but at the most even Harvard is a low reach for you.

Welcome to CC by the way.

Let’s see:

AA male. Wealthy. Near perfect SAT/ACT scores. 30000000 AP classes with 5s on all except for 2. Salutatorian at “competitive” high school. President of Math Team AND Varsity basketball player. Cellist for 11 years. 619 hours of volunteering.

Although I’m curious about your last sentence…how can this be a detriment to you? I’m in the same boat (except for one teacher who HATED me) and I think it’s a positive attribute.

You’re ridiculous. The only thing left for you to do is cure cancer.

I think you are amazing, and that you stand a really good chance, but still, its too much to say “in at most of HYPSM” I don’t think that statement should ever be used unless with Nobel Price winners

^I know it sounds like exaggeration. It is, to a degree. But look at him: his profile is already incredibly impressive if you factor out race. Now, throw in race, and I do think that most of HYPSM become high match. To me, that’s not “in”, but pretty dang close. I’m not the best-qualified nor informed chancer, but I think the OP has a very solid chance.
