Also NHS member, but honestly everyone Gets into NHS. Owner of a successful startup. Also what can I do to improve my chances of getting in? I'm looking to major in finance/accounting. Also when applying to UVA, and W&M, will it help to not apply for the business school because those schools have a top program? So should I just apply for my second choice and then switch in if I get accepted.

What are my chances for
UVA
College of William and Mary
JMU
V Tech
George Mason
GWU

At UVA you can’t apply to the comm school until your second year. I think W&M is more numbers oriented than UVa but they may love the music. Your SAT is great for all of the schools. Your GPA might or might not be. At our school there are few with under a 4.2 admitted to either school but there are some. You’re in at the rest save GW about which I know nothing. You could be honors at VT, Mason, and JMU I think. Do you have Naviance at school? I’d check there.

You should be fine for UVA and William and Mary but it won’t be a sure thing at UVa just because I know a lot of qualified students who were rejected for lesser qualified kids. I think you’ll get in atleast one of them though. Also depends on how many aps

I’d be shocked if you didn’t get into both, instate. I would put some stretch schools in there, maybe ivies? Although the GPA might be a problem for those.

So far I have had 6 APs not included senior year. Senior year im planning on taking 4 or 5. I hope I get in though! I’m looking to do finance, but I know those schools are extremely competitive when it comes to business. So should I choose like music or something and then transfer in

hello fellow virginian! You have great scores and ECs for sure. owner of a successful startup? definitely stress that in your application. anyway, you have a very good shot at all those schools. I think most of them could even be considered safeties except for W&M and UVA which are matches for you.
