impressive stats, but EC are lacking

I thought the internships would definitely bolster the application… does it change anything that I intend to major in law and minor in history?

@geothizer Impressive grades and scores, ok/nothing too special ECs. The internships will help. Which ivies are you thinking of applying to?

Btw there is no such thing as a law (or pre-law) major in most schools. You can major in a variety of different things and gain admission to law school.

I’m thinking about Columbia or Princeton. My dream school is Columbia.

If your dream school is Columbia, you should definitely apply to Barnard as well. Barnard students get a Columbia degree and graduate at Columbia University graduation. It is also technically under the Columbia University umbrella. You take classes at Columbia, participate in any Columbia sports teams / clubs / sororities / societies, and share academic buildings. Columbia students also take classes at Barnard. However, if you are a boy then stick to Columbia College or SEAS haha. There is also an undergraduate college at CU called General Studies if you have taken more than 2 gap years! Barnard acceptance rate is 14.8% (most selective all women’s college in the world) and General Studies is 32%. Hope that helps!

@geothizer then Columbia ED seems a great option for you, esp given your legacy status.

Thank you everyone for your help!
