Btw there is no such thing as a law (or pre-law) major in most schools. You can major in a variety of different things and gain admission to law school.
If your dream school is Columbia, you should definitely apply to Barnard as well. Barnard students get a Columbia degree and graduate at Columbia University graduation. It is also technically under the Columbia University umbrella. You take classes at Columbia, participate in any Columbia sports teams / clubs / sororities / societies, and share academic buildings. Columbia students also take classes at Barnard. However, if you are a boy then stick to Columbia College or SEAS haha. There is also an undergraduate college at CU called General Studies if you have taken more than 2 gap years! Barnard acceptance rate is 14.8% (most selective all women’s college in the world) and General Studies is 32%. Hope that helps!
