I thought I have been doing well in freshman and sophomore year but my current junior year has been a downfall, especially my first semester grades.
I am currently attending Whitney M. Young Magnet Highschool, which is considered one of the Top 3 highschools in Chicago so it is really stressful and full of overachievers....

Here are the stats:

Freshman:

Honors Biology- A/A
Honors Algebra I- B/A
Honors Japanese I- A/A
Honors Survey Lit- B/A
Advanced Orchestra- A/A
Physical Education - A/A

Sophomore:

Honors Geometry -B/A
Honors Chemistry-B/A
Honors World Studies-A/A
Honors American Lit-A/A
Honors Japanese II- A/A
Physical Education-A/A
H Philharmonic Orchestra-A/A

So far Unweighted GPA: 3.8 out of 4.0
Weighted GPA: 4.8 out of 5.0

I thought 2 B's for first semester grades were already bad enough,
until Junior year hit me. I've never received such bad grades in my life.
These are my final first semester grades.

Junior:

Honors Trig- C
Honors Jap III- A
Honors Physics - B
AP Chemistry - B
Honors US history- B
Honors Brit Lit - B
Art - A

Current Unweighted: 3.75
Weighted: 4.65

I've lost all my hope for any prestigious colleges because of that C.
There are so many B's..... this is definitely a big dip in my report card..
Especially it's my junior year, do I even have any chances?

For Senior year, I programmed for these AP classes:
AP Lang (Comp)
AP Japanese
AP Psychology
AP 2D Studio Art

With AP chem this year, 5 AP's seem to be really few..but we barely had any options Freshmen/Soph year. Is it really not that much?

Fortunately, so far my 2nd semester grades are straight A's and two B's for Trig and Physics. If I bring them up, do I still have hope for any Ivy leagues?

My college priority is location, and I really want to live in California. It is perfect for me, the city/suburban life at the same time.
However this is a problem because I heard Cali rarely admits out of state schools.....IS THERE ANYHOPE FOR A CHICAGOAN?!
I know I want to major psychology, possibly minoring in Film.

Will these be reach schools if I raise my grades?

UC Berkeley
UC Los Angeles
USC
&Standford University (FOR THEIR LOCATION/PSYCH PROGRAM!!)
NYU
Cornell
Princeton
Brown
Dartmouth
Yale
Duke
or any other POSSIBLE Ivy reaches?! Recommendations please!

Oh also my expected ACT is a 30-32.
