I’m an international from Europe (relatively poor country), public HS, white male and member of LGBTQ. First member of family to go to US to study and want to use this chance to let my family live a better life.
Could you chance me on Ivies/MIT transfer (hopefully full scholarship as they are need blind)? HYP rejected me RD while MIT waitlisted then rejected but I added a lot to my app. I’m planning on double majoring physics and chemistry.

Founder of program and cause striving to bring quality preparation for national and international science competitions to all students from my country and surroundings, no matter the background of the student. It has a website with materials to work for most major competitions (chemistry, physics, astronomy, math), as well as a contact option on the website allowing any students to ask me questions about their preparations. Science competitions are important in my country because they bring the possibility of social mobility to less wealthy students. Also hold private classes to prepare students from time to time. Personally mentored one of them on his competition journey.
Guest lecturer and helped organize the local Astronomy camp in my town. I popularized the camp by brining more people and my lecture lasted an hour. Also helped organize and paneled at our schools’ division of the European researchers’ night, a popular science event held internationally.
Substituted teachers and held extracurricular classes in natural sciences in my school from time to time.
Author of two interdisciplinary scientific papers (physics and chemistry) which ended up in our country’s national science camp’s featured works.
Worked with our country’s national chemistry and physics competitions’ committees to assemble and propose some problems used in various levels of the competitions.
Holder of the honor of my town adorning outstanding citizens given for 650 years of the founding of the town.
Recreative swimmer, volleyball player and photographer.
I also attended an online college fair where I inquired about Columbia and plan to visit, as well as plan to visit other unis.
I know transferring to such schools is nigh impossible, but I think I have some chance, right?
