@manas1997
It probably won’t matter. Percentage is Percentage. Schools will see your percentages and convert it to GPA themselves. I don’t think most US institutions will give you the equivalent of a 3.7 GPA for a 80%.
@bomerr no school converts, I already asked this question. They are familiar with the marking system in Ontario where an 87+= A. Nobody in Canada gets 97+ in all courses throughout high school, there maybe an exception but there are none in my school or the schools nearby.
@manas1997
Most US students don’t get a 93%+ in every course throughout high school either aka a 4.0 UW GPA.
Some schools like Berkeley will convert the grades to gpa (if only for statistical purpose)

From what I can see, you display good leadership qualities, and does well especially in the science/math area. The top schools look for well rounded kids; those that excel academically, athletically, and mentally. You have got good clubs and volunteer work; but do you play any sports? And for some reason, those colleges love kids who are in the arts: acapella groups, band, orchestra, painting, creative writing, photography? Since your are from Canada, you are bound to be excepted into at least one colleges listed above (because they want diverse/international environment)
Good chances at UM and NYU
@Nancyzhou101 no i dont play sports in a club or anything but I do play basketball for fun, as a hobby, and I did mention this in my essay. I lack in arts because I don’t know how to draw and don’t care much for dance, singing, theatre.

You have a pretty solid GPA and ECs. I’m not sure how to rate your essays since I haven’t read the entire thing. But basically you have a pretty interesting story to tell and a pretty decent EC to back them up. IMO, you’re a pretty strong candidate for any of those schools, but are you good enough in comparison to the other applicants is the only question. Good luck!!
And please rate me back too! : http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/cornell-university/1737490-chance-me-to-cornell-cals-aem-fall-external-transfer-rd-and-ucb-haas-will-chance-back.html?new=1
You have great credentials but most of the schools you applied to are reach schools in general. You asked for us to respond in accepted/rejected format which isn’t traditional and may make my opinion seem far harsher than it would if I were to have written in match/reach style. Thank you
