Could write about my motivation behind forming the club and fundraising money for oppressed Syrians. I formed this club after being in a car crash that was very hard for me mentally and physically, helping me to re-evaluate my views on the world and reinforce the idea that you dont know what others are going through until you “walk in their shoes”

Not very impressive like most other people on here but some feedback would be much appreciated!!

They are all reaches. Well, Hopkins might be a low reach, but chances are still probably under 25% if you apply RD.

You may get into one or more of these schools, or none of them – it is impossible to know. So relying on acceptance rates and average stats, these are still reaches even for high-stat kids like you.

What you want to do is find some match-range schools and at least one safety that you like and can afford. If you like all the schools to which you apply, and can afford them, you are virtually assured a sweet result.

Also remember that if you are applying to colleges that admit you directly into a major or a particular school/program, be aware of how difficult it is to get into that particular major or program. (Cornell, UCs, UPenn, and plenty of other universities admit directly to a school or a major…)

@prezbucky What are your thoughts on my club for fundraising? Will colleges look down upon that as being fake or cliche? (it definitely was very genuine for me)

No, and especially not if you write well about it or mention it in an interview. Its importance to you will show. I think that’s what most schools like, kids getting involved in things they care about; not just having ten ECs for the sake of filling up the sheet.
