My sister went to JHU for Grad school. I also have a damn good why Hopkins essay.
Is all this good enough? My GPA brings me way down. What are my chances? Thanks all
GPA does hurt you, but as long as your class rigor was good then you should be fine. Besides, if you think your essay is THAT good then I’d say at least a 50/50 chance. Rest of your application is excellent.
GPA hurts a bit, but it depends on the context of your school (i.e: if you rank is good you should be fine). Everything else is cool, hopefully essays are awesome. Good luck
@Northwood16 Johns hopkins does superscore you nearly gave me a heart attack.
“We also consider your highest combined score for the ACT. We’ll find the maximum value of each official section score submitted, then recalculate the composite score.”
I think you have a good chance. Your unweighted is a bit low but it’s pretty close to a 3.8 so it’s good. Your ACT score makes up for it though, and you have good EC’s.
ED to JHU makes up for a slightly lackluster GPA for sure; the ED boost will help you a lot (and you have an amazing ACT score). I’d say you have a really good chance!
