Common App Essay: Very strong
JHU Supplement: Very strong

You have a good chance, JHU is a upper target/lower reach for you. ED will really help. Id say you have around a 60% chance of getting in. Good luck!

Your SAT score is excellent, but besides that you havn’t been taking rigorous courses until your senior year, your weighted GPA isn’t even as good as many applicant’s unweighted GPA to JHU, your AP scores are mediocre, and your EC’s aren’t great. Hopefully your SAT score can get you in. I would consider JHU a reach/low-reach for you. I’m applying there too, and I would take myself over you. Sorry to be so harsh, but I’m just trying to give honest feedback.

Unfortunately, I don’t think you will get in ED, and further, unfortunately, I don’t think you will get in at all.

The reason I say this is that my son was waitlisted there last year, with higher stats.

I believe that the people who are telling you that you have a 50% chance of getting in are not very well informed about how hard it truly is to get into a Johns Hopkins nowadays, if you have no hook. Also, your AP scores are strangely low.

My advice would be to concentrate more on schools in the range of Michigan, Tulane, USC.

In general, based upon my son’s experience and the experience of the sons of friends of mine, no matter how hard you may think it is to get into a top school, it is even harder.

I think floridadad is spewing malarkey cause of his baggage

Haha I think you have a really good shot and you’re very qualified. It’s a tough school, but ED should help and you’re an awesome applicant, good luck!
