How do I look for JHU? Really appreciate all help.

I would say your SAT scores and GPA are fine for JHU. Your EC’s are okay but don’t really stand out. All of your activities are very typical, although having those leadership positions should help. I would say a strong essay would help you out. For ED, I’ll give you a high match/low reach.

Your stats and ECs seem like a good fit for JHU, especially if you apply ED. You might want want to find what sets you apart from other applicants (which could be your debate skills) and emphasize it, because a lot of people might have similar scores/GPA/ECS- but I don’t think you really have to worry. Best of luck!

With your scores and ECs, you definitely stand a chance. But, you need to set yourself apart in some ways. Demonstrate interest in a particular field and convey that in your essays. You seem like a well-rounded student, but make sure the college knows what you are passionate about. Best of luck!

@joker258 I’m a current student at JHU and I received the Hodson Trust scholarship, an award that they only give out to about 15 students per year. You’d think to be selected for this, you would have to have an outstanding application. I got into Hopkins, and received this award with much lower stats than you. Honestly, JHU is like a lot of Ivies and colleges of those level because we look at the “whole picture.” I’ll be working on the admissions committee this year, helping to select the next round of Hodson scholars, so feel free to message me anytime.
GOOD LUCK

On your next re-take focus on the SAT I math score. Get it up above 700 as much as possible. This is the only glaring deficit I see in your app. Also tie together your ECs into a meaningful story about yourself

i have pretty similar stats as you! hopefully we both have a pretty good chance haha I feel like it could really go either way so nerve-wracking! it all comes down to essay/letters of rec I believe
