chance me for maryland, binghamton - need some advice with act or sat

<p>hello, im going to be a senior in high school and i'm getting ready to apply for colleges....
my choices are U of Maryland Binghamton , UCONN, Northeastern and boston U. i still need a safety school..... maybe Providence --</p>

<p>GPA: thoughout highschool and2 classes in 8th grade, my unweighed gpa has been around 3.7 to 3.8 (92.5)
and my weighted has been about 95</p>

<p>freshman year: 91 Unweighted - One honors
Sopomore year: 94.5 unweighted - 2 honors, 1 AP
Junior: 94 unweighted - 2 honors, 2 Aps
next year i am planning on taking 2 aps </p>

<p>Scores - (not my strong suit)
AP score - 3 on bio 3 on stats, 2 on chem</p>

<p>SatII - Bio-580 CHEM -620 MathII -650</p>

<p>Sat
January - (700m 500cr 480wr) - 1680 total
June - (700m 540 cr 490 wr) - 1730 total <---- this is my superscore so far also </p>

<p>Act- 27 composite ( 21eng, 34m, 22r, 32s) 8 on essay</p>

<p>Which score is better my Sat or ACT---- im gonna take the act again</p>

<p>National honor society and math honor society
2time athletic scholar
some awards for the school volleyball team </p>

<p>Extra activities
2 years golf- one varsity
3 years baseball - one varsity
3 volleyball one varsity (so far)
volunteer at the local shelter 200 hours
tutoring people for sat math and algebra 2/trig ( god knows i cant for english )
school newspaper -3 years
math team - 1 year</p>

<p>If theirs anything else you need to know about me, just ask.
I have alumni at Maryland and Northeastern and i am a new york resident.
As of now, Maryland is my number one school
Ill try to chance back, but i dont know that much about some schools but ill try!

<p>I’ll only comment on UMD. The stats aren’t in their middle 50% (both SAT and ACT). They don’t really consider subject tests, but your scores are low… almost to a point where it’d hurt your application if you send them.</p>

<p>If you could fix up your english and reading scores on the ACT, you can greatly improve your application. The ACT seems to work better for you.</p>

<p>okay thanks… ive been studying for the act and have been getting around 25-26 on both the english and reading parts… would that be good enough?</p>
