Hi everyone,

I'm planning on focusing my common app essay on the fact that I like learning new languages. I have taught myself German, Italian, and Spanish to a decent degree, I put significant effort outside of school to reach a high level of fluency in French, I've also taught myself some Icelandic, and I grew up speaking Persian, but taught myself to read/write it. So I now speak about 6 or 7 languages, meaning I can identify as a polyglot. I was thinking of focusing on this because it sounds unique and intellectual. Thoughts?

Can you chance me for Brown University, UC Berkeley, UCLA, Johns Hopkins, UPenn, Georgetown, Cornell early decision, Columbia early decision, NYU, and McGill? I know obviously some of these schools are reaches, but are they possibilities?

Thank you so much in advance. Please be honest but try not to be so brutal, I'm already sick to my stomach over this stuff.
