Hi there,
Canadian schools don't require SATs, and since your scores aren't stellar, I'm not sure if it will help you/ It mainly depends on your high school average. If it is higher than 93%, then you are in the pool.

First time posting on here! I’d love to know what my chances are of getting into McGill. It is my dream school! Oh and I’m a student at a US public high school, trying to get into faculty of science.
SAT:
720 M
690 CR
650 W
Combined: 2060
Reading and math: 1410

Projectile score for ACT: 31 (Have not taken it yet)

Unweighted GPA is 4.0
Weighted GPA is 4.718
Rank is 30/710

Classes:
5 AP Classes overall, Mostly honors classes throughout high school

McGill does not take into account any extracurricular for admission, it is solely based on academics and test scores. However, the faculty of science is quite difficult to get in so I do not know if my chances are too great…

McGill’s website states that US students must submit either the SAT or ACT, and US school grades are not based on a percentage scale, but my gpa is 4.0? And thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. @liulouis4

I assume a 4.0 is in the ballpark for 93%+. Did you take two SAT IIs? Even so, your best two SAT IIs must be 670+.

Biology, biomed (engineering or not) are harder to get in than the other science majors offered at the undergrad level at McGill. I’ll chance you for each set of majors.

Biology or biomed: High match (writing score holding you back, unless you take the ACT with at least 26 in each subscore or scoring high in writing isn’t as important as last year)
All other Faculty of Science majors: Match

I actually have not taken SAT II subject tests, I am planning on submitting my ACT score rather than SAT but I just posted them on here for reference. But I am planning on receiving higher than a 26 in each subscore (hopefully!), but I’m not sure how much they take the writing score into consideration. And thank you for your reply as well @Catria
