I'm in high school and I will be applying for college in a few months. I want to major in mechanical engineering and want to get into either UCSB, UCSD, UC Davis, or Cal Poly ( I know not a UC, but still).
I have a 4.07 weighted GPA, 3.97 unweighted.
I'm not such a good test taker so I got a 590 in reading, 590 in writing, and 610 in math on the SAT.
My high school is ranked in the top 20% in California. I am ranked in the top 6% of my class of 410 students.
Here are the classes I have taken and my grades for them.
Freshman year: honors english I (A's both semesters), Honors Biology (A first semester, B+ second), honors global studies ( A both semesters), Spanish for Spanish speakers (A both sem.).
Sophomore year: honors English II (B 1st semester, A 2nd), Algebra 2 ( A both semesters), Honors Chem. ( B first semester, B+ second semester), AP Spanish 4 ( B+ 1st semester, A 2nd sem), honors world history ( A first semester, A+ second semester), Ceramics 1 ( A both semesters).
Junior year: AP English composition ( A+ 1st semester, A second semester, still awaiting AP scores), AP US history ( B 1st semester, A second semester, still awaiting AP scores) AP Spanish 5 ( b+ first sem, A+ second sem, pretty sure I passed that AP test), AP Environmental Science (A- both semesters, positive I passed the AP test.), Physics ( A- both semesters), trig/pre-calc ( A both semesters).
For my senior year I signed up for AP Calculus, AP English Literature, Marine Biology, Gov/Econ, painting, and digital design.
Extracurriculars: wrestling team both freshman and sophomore years, cross-country freshman and sophomore year, track and field sophomore year, youth health advocates club freshman year with 15 hrs community service. I'm a member of the California scholarship federation for four semesters so far.
If this affects my admission at all my parents are low income Mexican immigrants and that would make me a first generation college student. And my first language was Spanish. So what are my chances?

Your SAT is low, so retake if you feel the need to. URM will help a little. Did you do anything junior year for EC’s. Maybe 2 of the UC and poly
