Do you think I have a good/decent chance of acceptance to any of these universities?
btw I’m an International student

Please reply…do you guys think I have a chance ?

You are a strong enough student to have a chance at those schools, yes. Very good chance even. Would you consider being an athlete in college? Seems you might be good enough to do that. If so, you need to contact the coach(es) immediately. Being an athlete doesn’t guarantee you admission…you still have to be good enough at your sport to be wanted, and you still have to be a good student. Those schools won’t let just anyone in just because they play a sport, but if you are a good athlete and have the grades and scores to be admitted, being a recruited athlete will pretty much guarantee admission. To be recruited, you need to make the initial contact.

You have a chance but both those schools fall under the “no sure thing” heading

@Disneydad‌ is right, you are clearly a strong applicant…but schools like HYPS often have enough qualified applicants to fill up 4 times their freshman class. Nonetheless, IMO you’ll definetly get in to one of those schools.

@stepay‌ @Disneydad‌ @0br0123‌ Thank you for responding, and for those kind words. I’m planning to apply ED to JHU, to increase my chances.
@stepay I dont think im good enough to be a recruited athelete. But how do international students get recruited when the coaches havent seen you perform?
Can you suggest few other universities which have great undergrad physics programs? Apart from the usual MIT and Caltech.

IBstudent10001 - Regarding being an athlete, you might want to look into it. You said you were a “state level athlete” in “Athletics”. I assume that means track and field. Harder to judge soccer ability, but track and field is simply looking at times and/or distances. Both Johns Hopkins and MIT are Division III meaning they are the lowest talent level of the three college divisions. You might be surprised at the level of track and field athlete Division III colleges sometimes need and want. You should go to their websites and look at the stats put up by their track and field athletes. You decide to compete for them, and they want you, then it’s a slam dunk for either of those schools with your academic record. Oh, and I wasn’t being kind. I try to be helpful, and helpful means being honest. You are honestly a very strong candidate for either of those two fine colleges. Compete for them as an athlete, and your admission is pretty much assured (have to contact the coaches and see if they are interested in you first). Typically, if a college really wants you as an athlete, they will greatly encourage you to apply Early Decision.
