So…chance me maybe?
everything is so perfect!..but that GPA Really sucks because your profile is amazing, but that GPA will bring you down Good Luck though!
I know, what can I do? I kinda messed up my freshman year, and then in my first semester junior year, I got a concussion and that definitely hurt my grades by a lot. I do have a doctor’s note though, and I’ll send that with my application.
Can anyone reach/match/safety me for these schools? I would also appreciate some feedback!
Thank you!
The freshman year grades don’t really matter, especially if you had improvement throughout the rest of high school. As long as your junior year was your only dip in an upward trend, and you explain the concussion, you should be good to go.
Yeah, I ended my Junior year with all A’s (and a couple A-'s) So it was my best semester yet. I’ll probably go regular action everywhere and try to get another good semester in there. No one’s application is perfect, slightly lower grades is just gonna be my weakness.
Still, if anyone can tell me if my schools are match/reach/safety, I’d really appreciate it!
Really… is your 3.5 the result of your freshman year grades? That would help me determine what category each of your schools are.
What is your approximate class rank? A 3.5 GPA is definitely below average for Ivies, but class rank is more important because every high school is different
I already listed above my approximate class rank. All I know is that my weighted GPA puts me in the top 10%. Where in that top ten percent I am is unknown to me.
My grades were mostly B’s in Freshman year, then A’s and B’s in sophomore year, then all B’s and a C+ in my Junior year first semester (due to the concussion, which took me out of commission for about 3-4 weeks), and then I ended my second semester of Junior year with all A’s.
This is why I’m going to go regular action. That way, I will have my first semester of Senior year on there, and I honestly believe that I will be able to get straight A’s again, since I’ve done it once before.
Hopefully the strong growth trend will show the college that I’m capable of handling the workload at their college.
@bobby lola . @doorrealthe
Sorry, forgot to tag you above!
Sorry, did not see that. ED somewhere you love, and if you do not get in, than hope that your first semester senior year grades are good enough for admissions officers to realize your capable of succeeding academically
Just throwing it out there one more time, I would really appreciate if someone would reach/match/safety me for the schools that I listed above! Thank you!
If it helps, I live in IL.
I got into Northwestern and will be attending in the Fall. Thanks for all of your feedback!
