Why did you bother posting this? You already got accepted to the University of Chicago? What is your dream school, Emory I'm assuming? Obivously you have a good shot. Stop being so nervous, you already got in to one of the best schools in the country.

yes you do, everything looks great!!! one thing that i don't quite get is, a lot of people here take Cal AB rather than BC but looking at your profile, you could kill BC with your eye closed, so why AB?

thanks for the posts guys...and yes, i am very nervous.

i took Calc AB because at my school, AB is a prerequisite for BC, and I did not have room on the schedule this year to take AB and BC, so I just had to take it through GA Virtual School.

BigWeight, you asked for an honest chance estimate, so here it is . . . 7.3%. Your stats are terrific! So are 90% of Harvard's applicants', and 7.3% of their applicants got accepted last year. So the odds at that one school aren't great, but the odds of getting into one of a number of the highly-competitive schools to which you're applying is quite good - as evidenced by your acceptance at Chicago. Your worst-case scenario is that you don't get into Harvard or any other of your remaining schools and have no choice but to attend one of the top 10 universities in the country. Awesome!

Congratulations on composing a resume of spectacular accomplishments. There doesn't seem to be anything on here that would keep you from being accepted. It seems you have done everything you are supposed to do, and now have only to wait for that "luckiness" integral to being accepted. Given your stats, you should do marvelously wherever you go. I encourage you to truly consider what you are personally looking for in a school--brand names aside. Before making your choice (even if you are accepted to Harvard), consider what the best fit would be if there were no such things as US News or endowment reports!

I think your chances are much better than a lousy 7%. Hispanic, good SAT score, great GPA, great course load, good EC's, I'd say 20%-30%. Depending on your essay it will be on the high or the low side.

thanks guys...and i understand that the majority of applicants are qualified, but its a matter of who's the most qualified and who would fit in better at the school. im gonna give it my best.

but thanks guys for the honest responses, thats why i love CC!!!
